What is CNC turning
CNC turning is a machining method in which an automated machine tool controls the displacement of parts and tools using digital information. CNC machines automatically machine the part to be machined according to a pre-programmed machining programme. The rotational movement of the workpiece and the linear or curvilinear movement of the tool are used to change the shape and size of the blank and to machine it to meet the requirements of the drawing. Internal and external cylindrical surfaces, internal and external conical surfaces, end faces, grooves, threads and rotary forming surfaces are machined.
The tools used for turning are relatively simple and are very easy to set up. Highly productive, it guarantees the precise positioning of each machined surface of the workpiece.
The process of turning
First, the part is determined and the drawing is analysed.
Then the design tools, fixtures and fittings are chose and adjusted. Design the process, work steps, calculate and optimise the machining trajectory, write, check and modify the CNC turning machining program.
Then commissioning operation, the first piece of trial processing, problem solving and then re-commissioning machine inspection parameters until the parameters are consistent, consistent after the turn automatically start machining.

Inspection of turned parts
CNC turned parts all need to be visually inspected first, using other hand held gauges such as calipers or micrometers to check that key dimensions are standard. We also use a number of QC instruments to carry out the measurement.
